Dec. 18th- Lots of torpedo size barracudas and big sharks on the flats right now. People often underestimate the excitement of catching barracudas on the flats- but with their explosive strikes, long runs, and acrobatic jumps, it is quite thrilling. Although the water temps are a little cool (69-70), we did see one nice permit tailing across the flat. Dec. 19th- Went out prospecting and fishing with another local guide. Once again multiple shots at big barracudas and sharks.
Water temps are back in the 70's on the flats and the wind has calmed down a bit. Went out with a buddy of mine to do a little bonefishing today. Flats were active with sharks, barracuda, and bonefish. Had some good shots at bones and ended up with a couple of nice fish. Finished the day catching a few trout for the dinner table.
